This is a great tool! The grading is almost always spot on and the feedback has been super helpful to the students. The UI is very user-friendly and I was able to create my own rubrics easily. Overall, this tool saves me huge amount of time.

I’ve recently started teaching writing for 5th and 6th grade after all of my teaching experience being in kindergarten. The change is a bit overwhelming! I was looking for tools to help me grade essays to save me time and my sanity. I came across EssayGrader and saw that it left comments and what to fix in essays. I want my students to correct their work so that they are less likely to make those mistakes in the future. I was immediately hooked!! I’m so excited to use this more!!!!!

As an AP English teacher, I have to give many practice eesays to students. Grading essays is very time comsumoing, esp. when I have over 100 AP students. I decided to search online if there was a software or service that can help me with my grading. I first came upon CoGrader. It worked well, but I soon found it to be too complicated and time consuming to enter the parameters. Then, I stumbled on Class Champion, it work well as first, but it also was time comsuming to input parameters and to access the feedback reports. Then, I found EssayGrader, which by now I felt it was going to give me the same experience. However, I soon found that it was easy to input my parameters and access the feedback. It even had a feedback copy feature that help to save me time to provide the feedback to students. In addition, EssayGrader also allows you to make scoring and feedback edits easily. I am very happy with EssayGrader that I am a subscriber and will endorse it to my school district for subscription. I would recommend this service to any teacher or admin who wants to save grading time and have multiple options for feedback.

Quick review, but I've been working with this program for a few years and I've seen incredible improvement in the program's usefulness. Additionally, the customer service is exceptional! Essay Grader has really helped me with "grading fatigue" and providing timely feedback. The student facing comments don't feel "canned" and I've seen real improvement in student writing: when students take the time to read the feedback. IMO: The revision aspect of writing is vital, but the reality of providing immediate feedback for revision deems it nearly impossible for most teachers. This program supports writing improvement!

I appreciate the depth of feedback provided on each essay. Not only are mistakes flagged, but so are things that are done particularly well. Suggestions for improvement are spot-on. I also like the fact that I can send feedback reports to the students with or without the score. This allows me some wiggle-room in grades, as I deem acceptable. Overall, this has been a terrific timesaver. I still read my students’ work and know where and how they are progressing, but the feedback they receive is more than what is humanly possible.

I was hesitant to try something new, but it was so easy to get up and running and I appreciate the feedback it provides. I really like the side-by-side panel view, where you can see student work and feedback sections side by side.

The only word I can say about EssayGrader is "excellent!" Its AI grading capabilities are excellent. Once the rubric is dialed in, EssayGrader will score essays very close to what I would score them. Usually with in only a few point difference. It also does a great job at detecting errors and offering suggestions oh how students can improve their right and all this based on the rubric I can create. This offers great flexibility for me as a teacher whether it is short answers, one day quick write essays, or major research papers. And the Google Classroom integration is excellent, seamless, and intuitive. This, along with its excellent grading capabilities saves me hours upon hours of time.
